Out of the Dark - Our Schools


In 2009 Out of the Dark Inc. established Out of the Dark School Chapters in all of the eight (8) public school districts in Craighead County. Since that time the chapters have grown to include hundreds of students. The chapters were established so our community can support and network with the school representatives/teachers who have been trying to work with our teens on issues such as chemical addiction awareness and leadership development. Each school chapter is represented with a member on the Out of the Dark School Committee, which is charged with setting chapter guidelines, creating activities and establishing the funding needs for the participating schools. On Monday, January 31, 2011, students from the Nettleton and Valley View OD School Chapters traveled to Little Rock to demostrate for the 88th General Assembly to address the diversion of prescription drugs in our communities.
